Sree Raja Rajeshwara Swamy(SRRS) Government Polytechnic is located at Agraharam village on Karimnagar-Kamareddy road. It is at a distance of 36 km. from Karimnagar and is about 200 km. from Rajiv Gandhi International Airport, Hyderbad. The Institution has 20 acres of land and is fully equipped laboratories, qualified and motivated staff. Hostels for the boys and girls are located in the campus and SC-ST boys hostel is under construction.
Sree Raja Rajeshwara Swamy(SRRS) Government Polytechnic was started in the Academic Year 1979-80 with three programs, Diploma in Civil Engineering (DCE), Diploma in Electrical Engineering (DEE) and Diploma in Commercial Practice (DCP) with total intake of 125 students. Diploma in Textile Technology (DTT) was started in the Academic Year 1996-97 and Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (DME) was started in the Academic Year 2008-09. In DCE and DEEE programs Second Shift with intake of 60 students each was started in the Academic Year 2009-2010. The present intake of the students is 420 (DCE-120, DEEE-120, DME-60, DTT-60 and DCCP-60) students per Academic Year.
Three programs offered at the Institution, Diploma in Civil Engineering (DCE), Diploma in Electrical and Electronics Engineering (DEEE) and Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (DME) were accredited by National Board of Accreditation (NBA), New Delhi for the Academic Years 2023-24 to 2025-26. The Institution received the ISO-9001:2015 Quality Certificate for maintaining the academic quality standards. The Institution is having Skill Development Centre (SDC), NSS Unit and Telangana Academy for Skill and Knowledge (TASK) centre.
